First week at work!!!!

Well, My first week at work has come to a close!!! Hard to believe huh?? For me it is. I LOVED IT!!! I didn't so much love getting up at 5 in the morning. But the day goes by pretty dang fast!!! My preceptor is great. The people I work with seem good so far. It is pretty cool because i see the nurse manager on the floor all the time. She knows the pt's name and what room they are in what's going on with them. It is cool because they are so willing to be of assistance. I have to make this short because I am supposed to be packing for camping and I wanted to upload some pictures of us at the river last weekend!!! I hope you enjoy and will write more later.

The first week!!!

It is hard to believe that we have only been gone about a week. A week and a half actually. Things in Reno are moving right along. I start my new job in 2 days, Monday!! I am pretty excited!!!
This week has been great, I have been able to just sit back and relax. I have gone to the gym where my sister works, 24 hour fitness, everyday (except Thurs. because I had food poisn. YUCK)!! I got to take Ari to the movies and her first carinval experience, I was so proud that she actually went on rides. She was funny because no one else was on the ride with her so she would tell the guy "excuse me, excuse me, I am done can you stop it now" and he would!!! She is a girl who knows what she wants. At first I used to try and run defense and not let her ask but just go with the flow. But then, I decided HELL NO!! I want her to ask for what she wants. I had lunch with the girls, my mom, sister, and Ari. That was fun but also where I got sick, so it wasn't so much fun after that!!! My mom worked out with me. That was crazy fun, but she kicked my BUTT!!!! That girl is hard core worker outer!!! I thougth I was gonna die. I went to dinner with my sister, her boyfriend, and her friend Cameron. He is like 86, I think. He is amazing he was a Supreme Court Justice and was in the Navy, truly a remarkable person. My sister used to be his personal trainer. And he kinda took her under is wing.
Then last night we went the the drive in theater. SOOO MUCH FUN!!! My sister and I used to go all the time when we were kids!! It is great. It's like a mini camp out. Anyway we say " I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" it was pretty funny.
I miss all the girls in VA!!! Love ya crazies!!! Hope to here from you soon!!

HELLLLLOOOOO everybody!!

Well things in Reno are going good. Arianna is still adjusting, she has been a little moody and her time clock is a little off but she is getting better and better everyday. For those of you who don't know, I was delayed a week at starting my new job, but it all got straighten out. Apparently the computers were down at the NV State board of nursing so the paperwork was a little bogged down but I checked online and I have a temp lic. YEAHHH!!!!!! In NV you have to send fingerprints off to the FBI and they take about 4 mos. so once that comes back I will have the real deal here in NV!!! I can't wait. I am so nervous though!! Why did I decide to work in the ICU!!! What a BOOB!!!
Besides the work stuff, things are going good. I am still staying with my sister, that is lots of fun. We should be moving into our place on the 11th of August. I am really excited about that. It will be nice to have a place to ourselves to decorate and relax in.
Jose is doing well I think. He is steady working hard. We just got the bill from when I hit the light pole.....SUCKS, needless to say he was a little perterbed at me!! For all of you that now which pole it was, We are paying for it so make sure it is taken care of!! HEHE!!! We are still trying to get Cleo out with the weather being so hot, it is quite a problem.
Today I worked out!!! EWWWWWW I have been working out just about everyday since I got here, one day I ate BBQ at this fantastic little rest. and boom I gain 3 lbs!!! YIKES!! Today though I thought I was going to die. I hurt while I was leaving the gym, and still hurt now!!!UGGGG
Let see what else is going on.....oh there is a fire, this one is pretty close, I can see it going up the mountain from my sisters porch it is only about 1.5 miles from my mom's! I guess some construction workers started it while they were working!! SUCKS TO BE THEM!!! But luckily it is moving away from the houses so that is good. OKAYYY!!! I think that is just about all I got for the moment!!! OHH>.......Jen, I read your blog the other day!!! Totally sucks!!!! I will say a little prayer for ya!!! Love ya sis, and love all of you out in blog world!!!

WE MADE IT

We made it RENO!!!!! Sorry, it has been so long since my last blog, but things have been nuts. We made it to Reno three days ago and I have been running ever since. I did my health screen for work, filled out new hire paperwork at work enrolled Ari at school, turned in all the paperwork to transfer my nursing lic. ugg!! That is turning in to quite a process. I am not sure if I can start work on Monday because The computers are down in there office and there processing time is longer than usual so it may delay me one week. oh well, I have no control at this point so I will just roll with it. And if I have to wait a week than at least it is another week I don't have to pay for daycare. Speaking of daycare this is the last month and a half until school starts!!!!!!! No more 150 a week!! YES!! Soooo, at this point though I am pretty much done with all the running around for now. Today I am going to workout and go to baby Taylor's party, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!! I am so happy to be back to be able to go to all this sort of stuff. I have missed it. I am pretty much free for the weekend so that is good.
Jose and I are good, we have actually come to the conclusion that the move is actually good for the both of us because he job is very demanding and now he won't have me at home driving him crazy trying to get him to come home early or what have you. He should be coming out soon so that will be nice. We, Arianna and I, are missing you terribly daddy!!!! MUAH!!! I am also missing all my girls.......Hope to see you all soon!!! Or talk to ya!!! MUAH!!! LOVE YA
Well I am gonna go workout...YUCK!!! But the current state I found myself in when I got my body fat done I wanted to cry so I is about time I started moving my ARSE!!!!

HAPPY 4th YEAHHHIH!!!!

I know it is a day late but oh well!!! I hope everyone had a fantastic day!!! I didn't do much!!! Infact I cleaned the kitchen and read a book!!! It was a scary one and that was dumb of me because I am already a worry wort!!! So of course I dreamed about it all night!!!! jack ass!!! Well, I only have 5 days until I move to reno.........and at this point i am thinking it would be easier to just stay here.....but I tell myself that all the chaos now will not even matter in 2 months so don't worry about it but it is hard no too!!!! Things around the house are a little tense. Which sucks......you know since I moved here I kept getting upset that things weren't going exactly how I wated them to and I kept getting mad....but I was thinking yesterday....I may have been disappointing as well....and that sucks because how do you fix that!!!
Aside from the obvious perks of being around family I really think reno will give me the opportunity to just breath....and that I think it will really help me settle into what the last 5 years has brought me!!!! I love it....but it has all happened so fast. I just want to slowwwwww dowwwnnnnnn just a little.
